Attorney Profiles

John Butler is of counsel at The Manginello Law Firm, PLLC.  He was born in Ohio and moved to Texas after graduating from the University of Cincinnati, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Mathematics.  He received his Jurisprudence Doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law in 1992.  He has concentrated on criminal defense since graduation, and is board certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.  Mr. Butler has extensive trial and appellate experience and has successfully tried scores of cases to jury verdicts.  

Mr. Butler is licensed to appear in all state and federal courts in Texas, as well as the federal Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in New Orleans and the United States Supreme Court.  Mr. Butler is a member of the Austin Bar Association, the College of State Bar of Texas, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (and a past director), and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
